Vacheron Constantin

Vacheron Constantin is deeply committed to handing down and developing the watchmaking trades, especially the artistic crafts and highly specialised decorative arts used in watchmaking, such as enamelling, engraving and gem-setting. Live demonstrations of such crafts will be available on site, an engraver will be present on 23rd and 24th, followed by an enameller on 25th and 26th and a watchmaker from 27th to 29th June. Vacheron Constantin is one of those great brands that constantly surprise their fans with new watches that amaze the whole world by their perfection. All its models cacheron Constantin Classique Tourbillon, Vacheron Constantin, Patrimony Traditionelle, Vacheron Constantin Malte and many others are true masterpieces that cannot be overestimated. However, sometimes the brand presents something really extraordinary. The brand has recently released two new watch models ?Historique Ultra-fine 1955 with rounded dial and Historique Ultra-fine 1968 with square dial. These two watch models were inspired by watch models released by the company in 1950 and 1960.These watches have the world抯 thinnest movements. The watches are covered with 18K gold. The Historique Ultra-fine 1955 has a movement with 1003 caliber with manual winding while the Historique Ultra-fine 1968 has an automatic movement and the 1120 caliber. The watches have been available from the January of 2010. Vacheron Constantin has presented one more great novelty ?the company together with the Geneva museum Barbier-Mueller has released a renewed version of the Metiers disrt watch that was presented in Geneva at the SIHH 2010. The design of this watch collection was inspired by the Japanese art of lacquer miniature, including the masterpieces that are exposed at the Barbier-Mueller. The line of elite watches Metiers disrt is presented by three models ?the Pine and Crane Watch and the Plum Tree and Nightingale Watch will be released with a pink gold case, while the Bamboo and Sparrow watch has a case that is made out of white gold. Each of these models will be released in a limited edition of 20 pieces. The watches have the 1003 caliber, the case of watches has the diameter of 40 mm, the power reserve of watches is 30 hours and all of them are waterproof up to the depth of 30 meters The Maltese cross has been a symbol of Vacheron Constantin since 1880. But the founder of the company is not of Maltese descent, and the company is not related to the Knights of Malta, as one might think. The reason for using the Maltese cross as a brand symbol is much more prosaic: the latter resembles a barrel component that was once used for decreasing the tension within the watch mechanism. The company even has a collection bearing the name of their emblem ?the Vacheron Constantin Malte Collection. One of the most outstanding watches in the collection is the Vacheron Constantin Malte Midsize Quartz. It is a classic timepiece with a fairly simple white enameled dial, save one detail: the decoration of the bezel and hour markers. They are set with rare white diamonds, weighing approximately 1.22 carats each. The material from which the Vacheron Constantin Malte Midsize Quart watch is made matches the royal decoration: each element is carved of 18kt yellow gold by Swiss craftsmen and polished to a satin gloss. The timepiece comes with a hand sewn crocodile leather strap. The timepiece is powered by a reliable quartz movement: less can go wrong with fewer components in the movement. The movement has a justly deserved reputation for accuracy to +/-0.5 seconds per day. All in all, the Vacheron Constantin Malte Midsize Quartz watch is a combination of classic styling coupled with modern technology. Quality, accuracy and elegance are key features of the timepiece.
